HY78 123 ignition on a hy72 motor

can an hy78 123 ignition be used on an hy72 motor? is there a special adjustment for the timing? the rotor arm on the 123 looks like it is about 15 degrees off from the s.e.v. distributor,will this make a difference in the timing?

Hi Gregor,
I'd say it would be the same, as the main difference is the cilinder volume, so timing should be the same. But I'm not sure... maybe contact http://www.123ignition.nl/id/8.html

Do you have the dip-switches on your 123? The manual sais which setting you need for the engine.
